Getting my music lined up. Finishing up the OBS scene. Finalizing idea in my head. Not even 24 hours away! Also for the clock do I have to crop the clock on the site or is there another way to have it?

I've made two extra threads: one for WIP stuff during the contest, and one to announce the Exhibition Game we'll be running next weekend to show off some of the things we've made. Expect more posts during the day as I get stuff set up - we're expecting this event to be the biggest we've ever run!

The jam starts at midnight for me, so Ill be up until I have to go to work xD
Then ill go to work, come back and map more

It starts at 12 midday for you, not 12 midnight. (Assuming you're in Texas)

How To Get Your Map Tested

First things first: Don't try and get a map that's not in the jam tested this weekend please!

Whatever kind of map you have, we can't play it unless it abides by the following restrictions:
  • Don't use special characters or capital letters in your filename.
  • There's no limit on filesize. (Save what people are willing to download)
  • Maps must be able to spawn at least 24 players (12 per team). MVM Maps must be able to spawn 32 - 26 bots, 6 players.
  • Include some lighting - no fullbright maps.
  • If your map requires point_servercommands to be active, then contact an admin before running it. We reserve the right to refuse any map like this, and we probably will.
Testing Normal TF2 Maps
  1. Click here to upload your map to the server.
  2. Join our group chat and type !ADD <Map Name> in the chat. This adds your map to the test list - you can delete it using !delete <mapname> or update it with !updatemap <Current Entry> <New Map name>. For full information on our fancy new bot, check the link here.
  3. Stick around in chat, so you're the first to know when we start testing. We'll probably prioritise the maps for creators who are still around.
  4. Make sure you join our steam group to get told when tests start.
Testing Mannpower Maps
...Sorry! We don't have servers set up and ready to test mannpower maps. If you make one and want it tested, let me know, and we can see what we can do - but that'll be based on demand.

Testing MVM Maps
For the jam, the Potato MVM servers team - creators of the Iron Gauntlet update - have kindly offered us one of their shiny MVM servers for us to use.
  1. Put your steam ID in the very first line of your popfile in a comment - it should look like "// U:1:123456789". This unlocks some admin abilities for you on your own map.
  2. Send me the BSP, NAV, and POP files. I’m LeSwordfish [TF2maps.net] on steam, and aside from nighttimes GMT I should be online most of the time.
  3. I’ll upload them to the provided servers.
  4. You can then join the server yourselves and play - IP is 173.62.178.109:27017, Password is “72hr”.
  5. You can vote for maps or for popfiles and use simple admin commands: for anything more complex, let me know and i’ll drop into the server - they’ve very kindly provided me with admin status.
This is a great favour by the Potato guys, so the least we can do to repay them is head on over and like their steam page - you’ll get the chance to playtest some of the hottest up-and-coming MVM maps.

I am going to make SFM posters for workshop items,maps etc.

I will also accept poster requests.
But i will first make the SFM posters for workshop items and things like that.


Most of the making of posters will be streamed if possible so you can see how it's gonna look/ask for changes.
