Okay, introduction.
First of all, I'm aware I am not a great modeller. I haven't touched Maya in over two years, and even though I took classes in it, my lecturors (who were useless) never taught me how to model. So I really am self-taught.
Hence, I will accept any and all constructive criticism, but please no "this is poor modeling" comments - I know, I know.
As it stands, this is the Rose Pie as I want it. It is supposed to be in the fashion of ladies' racing hats, and the colours will be a soft pink and soft blue respectively. I thought I'd have some fun by playing on everyone's fears of the Pyro being a girl, or even very feminine, what with the handbag and everything.
I intend to redo the bow; it looks garbage as it is now, and I actually wanted it to be much bigger. At first I wasn't sure how to do this, but I realised that in its current state my hat is only 402 triangles, or half the polycount Valve have stipulated, which means I can effectively go to town on a bouncy, cushy bow, which is my next objective.
Obviously I haven't started on texturing it just yet, I'd rather save that for when I have my model down pat.
